We have all experience information overload at some point in our life, but the important point is what you do when you hit the wall of full overload.

Some people quit and some people have the ability not get overwhelmed and press through this stage.

So, what should one do when one is suffering from information overload? According to Mike, the first thing that the individual should do is take a step back, take a few deep breaths and refocus on the bigger picture of your business. I.e. What is your business purpose and not how to do PPC marketing.

In other words, overload is like standing with your nose against a wall and trying to see everything on that wall clearly. The only way to accomplish it effectively is to take a few steps backwards until the you are able to see the entire wall clearly.

So now that you have taken a step back, taken those few deep breathes and are now looking at the big picture, what does that big picture of your business model look like?

When you step back and get clarity it is easier to understand that you are only required to do two things for your business according to Mike Dillard.

Requirement # 1 – Get Traffic for your business from one source.

I know that I have been guilty of attempting to learn 10+ traffic generation techniques at the same time and only accomplishing a few.

The idea is to choose one traffic generation technique and learn that to the point of mastery. Mastery could be defined as knowing enough about that traffic generation technique and having enough success with that technique that you could write a book about it.

Requirement # 2 – Learn Copywriting

This skill will allow you to use words to promote yourself, your product, your business or service. The concept of copywriting is used in all types of media from print, radio,tv, blog, video etc..

Master these two areas of your business and you will have a very successful business and will help you when you hit the wall of information overload again.
